Shakespeare...
Last week, I was looking at my shelf and I found this Shakespeare's Complete Works book. I haven't touched that for a while. I like to read it little by little, specialy read his plays that became movies.
Last month I finished reading Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice for the 2nd time. I just thought I should read it once more, after I've seen the movie, just to be sure of how faith to the book the script was. :p
Anyway, that lead me to this Shakespeare's Sonnet that was mentioned in the other movie version of one of Jane Austen's novels, Sense & Sensibility. I don't think that the sonnet is mentioned in the novel, but I remember it being mentioned on the screen. I really like it!
"Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring barque,
Whose worth's unknown although his height be taken.
Love's not time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Whithin his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved."
by William Shakespeare
Anyway, this picture was taken in a friend's wedding on Jun 24th.
